Sussi and Chuma Description
Sussi and Chuma Lodge offers 12 luxury tree-houses and 2 exclusive houses. Each tree-house offers a private viewing deck offering magnificent views of the Zambezi River. The main lodge building consists of a raised bar / lounge deck, open air dining area as well as a curio shop and swimming pool. Sussi & Chuma also offers rejuvenating spa treatments. The exclusive houses offer 2 en-suite bedrooms, one double room with a bath and an outdoor shower and one twin room with a bath and indoor shower, a spacious lounge and dining room area, kitchenette, outdoor deck, barbeque/braai area and a private plunge pool. Guests can enjoy their own private chef to cook all meals. Other facilities include air-conditioning, en-suite facilities, a private viewing deck, a mini-bar, mosquito nets, overhead fans and hairdryers.
Sussi and Chuma Game Viewing
Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park in Zambia is known by the locals as 'The Smoke that Thunders', referring to the mist of the falls that can be seen miles away and the roar of the water as it drops down into the mighty Zambezi River. Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park is located in the southern most edge of Zambia on its border with Zimbabwe. The physical landmark which separates these two countries is the mighty Victoria Falls which can be viewed from both Zimbabwe and Zambia. The park is a wildlife sanctuary and well worth a visit if not only for the falls, but also for common species including elephant. On the northern bank of the Zambezi River, within the Mosi-oa-Tunya Park you can still see an old cemetery. Overall this small Zambian park is a must, if not for the wildlife then definitely for the mighty and misty Victoria Falls. Resident wildlife, such as hippo's and elephants are likely to wander through the Lodge grounds at any time. Guests can enjoy a wide choice of activities which adds to the attraction of this elegant and secluded retreat.
