Royal Zambezi Lodge Description
Royal Zambezi Lodge offers ten standard/classic suites and four deluxe suites. The classic suites offer privacy with en-suite bathrooms, a flush toilet, large showers and a shady veranda. The tents are spacious and tastefully decorated offering pure cotton linen and feather pillows. The deluxe suites offer outside showers, copper baths, plunge pools and private salas overlooking the river. The Royal Zambezi Bush Spa offers a team of professional consultants that will pamper guests and see to their every need. The main area consists of an open plan reception area, dining room, lounge as well as a large fireplace with sofas and armchairs as well as an undercover verandah; the Sausage Tree Bar overlooks a busy waterhole. Royal Zambezi Lodge also has a swimming pool.
Royal Zambezi Lodge Game Viewing
The Lower Zambezi National Park is one of Zambia's premier wildlife areas with abundant bird and animal life. Located on the banks of the beautiful, clear Zambezi River and bordered on the northern side by the Muchinga escarpment, the park offers picturesque scenery. The Zimbabwean World Heritage Site, Mana Pools Reserve, is situated on the opposite bank forming a natural transfrontier park and creating a large sanctuary for wildlife. Abundant game occurs in the valley floor and along the river offering fantastic land and water-based game viewing opportunities. The park is host to large herds of elephant and healthy populations of lion, leopard, side striped jackal, hyena, hippo, buffalo, zebra, waterbuck, and many other antelope. Less common are the African wild dog and aardvark. The Lower Zambezi National Park is an important bird area and over 300 species of birds can be found in the park.
