Kasaka River Lodge offers a magnificent setting on the banks of the Zambezi River in the Chiawa Game Management area 4 kilometers from the Lower Zambezi National Park. This area is unique in the sense that it is the only part on the Zambezi River where one finds National Parks on both sides of the river - the Lower Zambezi National Park in Zambia and the famed Mana Pools World Heritage Site in Zimbabwe. The area around Kasaka River Lodge offers incredible views over the river as well as fantastic game sightings including elephant, buffalo and crocodile. Kasaka River Lodge Description
Kasaka River Lodge is a 22 bed luxury tented camp offering en-suite facilities in a unique location. The chalets offer a secluded spot in the bush amongst lush gardens. The luxury tented chalets offer stylish décor and en-suite bathrooms with flush toilets and showers. All chalets offer towels and bathrobes plus toiletries, twin 13 amp 3 pin square socket outlets conforming to UK standards can be found in bathroom areas. Kasaka River Lodge also offers a remote and private honeymoon suite on the river's edge to the west of the 'wild' side of the camp and offers beautiful views, privacy and luxury amenities. Kasaka River Lodge offers a Family Lodge for families called the Hippo Pod offering a private and luxurious experience for families. The Acacia Suite caters for up to 4 guests and offers an exclusive experience. The main area of Kasaka River Lodge offers a bar, deck and library. Kasaka's bar and deck area are situated amongst huge tamarind trees and provides beautiful river views. Guests can enjoy delicious meals in the thatched dining area overlooking the river and ideal for romantic dining under the stars. Kasaka also offers a swimming pool.
Kasaka River Lodge Game Viewing
Kasaka River Lodge in the Lower Zambezi National Park offers one of Zambia's premier wildlife areas with abundant bird and animal life. Located on the banks of the beautiful Zambezi River and bordered on the northern side by the Muchinga escarpment, the park offers remarkable natural beauty and scenery. The Zimbabwean World Heritage Site, Mana Pools Reserve, is situated on the opposite bank forming a natural transfrontier park and creating a large sanctuary for wildlife. The valley floor offers abundant game as well as along the river offering good land and water-based game viewing opportunities. The park is host to large herds of elephant and healthy populations of lion, leopard, side striped jackal, hyena, hippo, buffalo, zebra, waterbuck, and many other antelope. Less common are the African wild dog and aardvark. The Lower Zambezi National Park offers incredible bird- watching with over 300 species recorded in the area.
