Lower Zambezi National Park Game Viewing and Activites


The Lower Zambezi National Park offers fantastic wildlife viewing as well as incredible bird watching and has been rated as one of the best wildlife areas in Zambia; with its unique location on the banks of the majestic Zambezi River; bordered on the northern side by the Muchinga escarpment, the park offers exceptional photographic opportunities. The Mana Pools World Heritage Site is situated on the opposite bank forming a natural transfrontier park and creating a large sanctuary for wildlife. The Lower Zambezi National Park is home to large herds of elephant, lion, leopard, side striped jackal, hyaena, hippo, buffalo, zebra, waterbuck, and many other antelope. Less common are the African wild dog and aardvark. The Lower Zambezi National Park is an important bird area with over 300 species of birds in the area. The African fish eagle, the national bird of Zambia is commonly seen.

Ana Tree Lodge

Chongwe River House is family-friendly and offers peace and tranquility as well as exciting wildlife activities. Kayila Lodge


Kayila Lodge is a comfortable friendly safari lodge offering guests a superb safari experience in a relaxed environment. Kayila Lodge is situated on the banks of the beautiful Zambezi River, overlooking the Mana Pools National Park shoreline. Kayila Lodge offers comfortable accommodation, beautiful views and incredible wildlife viewing. Kayila offers comfortable accommodation and can accommodate a maximum of 20 guests in stone and thatch chalets with en-suite facilities. Kayila also offers a honeymoon suite with a romantic sunken bath. Families are welcome at Kayila and children of 12 years and older are accepted. Mwambashi River Lodge


Mwambashi River Lodge is situated in the Lower Zambezi National Park in Zambia; the lodge caters for a maximum of 16 guests in spacious walk-in safari tents situated on wooden platforms offering en-suite toilets, showers and a hand basin. The main area at Mwambashi consists of a dining area situated on a raised platform underneath cool thatch with an open balcony overlooking the river. There is also a bar and toilet on the ground level under the same thatched roof. Children of 15 years and older are accepted at Mwambashi River Lodge. Mwambashi Lodge is famous for its superb cuisine and outstanding service. Guests can enjoy meals in the central thatched dining area which leads into a comfortable lounge as well as a library.

Old Mondoro Camp


Old Mondoro Camp offers a unique safari experience in a remote part of the Lower Zambezi National Park in Zambia.
