Sindabezi Island is a luxury bush camp offering a magnificent location on a private island on the Zambezi River in Zambia. Sindabezi Island offers guests privacy and luxury in a remote corner along the Zambezi River and has been rated by many as one of the finest lodges in Zambia. Sindabezi Island offers only five cool luxury thatched cottages with spectacular views over the Zambezi River and the nearby National Park. Sindabezi combines well with Tongabezi and the two lodges complement each other. Sindabezi Island caters for only 10 guests at a time ensuring a personal safari experience and friendly and efficient staff will see to their every need. Sindabezi Island offers a large variety of activities to choose from including viewing the world famous Victoria Falls as well as romantic island lunches.

Sindabezi Island Description

Sindabezi Island accommodates a maximum of only ten people at a time in five open-fronted chalets. Each chalet offers a secluded spot as well as a different view of the Zambezi; facilities include hot showers and/or baths, bedside lamps and 'toilets with a view'. The open-fronted design provides close-up encounters with the wildlife that roams freely in and around the lodge. The main camp area is situated on the sand and offers peace and serenity. The main area offers two star-gazing decks also ideal for dining and game watching. The main dining area is located on an elevated deck up in the trees. Hot water and lighting is provided by solar power.

Sindabezi Island Activites

Guests at Sindabezi have a wide variety of activities to choose from and guests can do as much or as little as they wish; activities include game drives, bush walks and boating trips on the Zambezi River. The spectacular Victoria Falls can be viewed either by boat or private aircraft. Other activities available include canoeing on the Zambezi, Island lunch, bush dinners, a visit to Mukuni Park, a museum tour, fishing as well as a visit to one of the local markets.
