Puku Pan Safari Lodge is situated on the banks of the Kafue River in the enormous and spectacular Kafue National Park in Zambia; the second largest game park on the planet. A place where hippos rule the waters, lions the land and the fish eagles the sky. This is a warm and friendly traditional Zambian safari lodge offering incredible game viewing including hippo, lion, elephant, antelope, warthog and zebra as well as fantastic birding with over 400 species recorded in the area and exciting fishing opportunities including pike, bream, silver barbell and catfish.
Puku Pan Safari Lodge Description
Puku Pan Safari Lodge offers beautiful cottages situated along the river offering breathtaking as well as game viewing throughout the day. All cottages offer verandas overlooking the river, electricity, and separate shower and/or bath and toilet, with hot water. The lodge caters for a maximum of 14 guests at a time. The main area consists of a bar and dining area overlooking the river; the lodge also provides a protected viewing area with comfortable seats on the swamp and pools at the back of the lodge. A campsite with shower and toilet facilities are available as well as a two storied viewing deck. A family cottage for two couples plus children is available too. Puku Pan Safari Lodge offers guests a choice of full board accommodation as well as camping.
Puku Pan Safari Lodge Game Viewing
Guests can explore the Kafue National Park on foot, in an open safari vehicle, or by boat and activities offer extraordinary game viewing opportunities. Experienced guides will accompany guests on all game activities. Guests may see elephant, lion and leopard, and plenty of antelope species that roam the area, like puku and impala. On the river and river banks there are plenty of hippos and crocodiles playing in the water or lazing in the hot African sun. The birding is spectacular with over 400 species to be found and for those keen fishermen the river offers excellent fishing including pike, bream, silver barbell and catfish. All guides at Puku Pan have excellent knowledge of the flora and fauna and the rich birdlife of the area and the Kafue National Park and will ensure a memorable safari experience.
