Mayukuyuku Camp offers a peaceful location on the banks of the magnificent Kafue River in the Kafue National Park, the largest park in Zambia and one of the finest wildlife sanctuaries in Africa. Guests can explore the park and enjoy fantastic game viewing on river cruises, guided bush walks as well as game drives. The Kafue National Park offers fantastic bird watching with over 400 species of birds in the park. Mayukuyuku Camp offers traditional tented accommodation with en-suite facilities and spectacular views. Another highlight at the camp is their romantic bush dinners under the stars.

Mayukuyuku Camp offers 3 luxury en-suite tents with magnificent views of the Kafue River and surrounding area. Other facilities at the camp include a bar and a curio shop. Guests can choose between an all-inclusive option a full board option or a self-catering option which includes barbecue facilities. The dining at Mayukuyuku is an experience and delicious meals are served.
Mayukuyuku Camp Game Viewing
Kafue National Park is Zambia's oldest and largest national park. It was proclaimed in 1950 and is spread over 22 400 square kilometres, it is the second largest national park in the world and about the size of Wales. It is remote and diverse and offers guests a true wilderness experience. Large prides of lion as well as leopard and cheetah are the major predators in the park. There is an abundance of smaller carnivores from the side-striped jackal, civet, genet and various mongooses. Bird watching - especially on the rivers and the dambos (wetlands) is superb. Nearly 500 recorded species of birds have been recorded throughout the park. The Kafue and Lunga Rivers offer superb fishing opportunities, especially good bream, barbel and fresh water pike. Guests can enjoy game viewing in open safari vehicles, morning as well as late afternoon and night drives can be booked. Two to three hour walking safaris with a guide and armed scout can be arranged as well as game viewing and fishing by boat. Alternatively you can hire a wildlife guide who will accompany you in your own vehicle for a drive, a day, or longer if booked in advance.
