Kaingu Safari Lodge is located in a prime wilderness area on the Kafue River in the Kafue National Park, one of the best game viewing areas in Zambia as well as Africa. Kaingu offers a true river experience, a river known as one of Africa's best. The lodge offers luxurious East African safari tents in a safe and private setting. The focus here is on walking safaris as well as water activities with sundowner walks and river cruises being the highlight. Kaingu Safari Lodge Description

The lodge and related buildings were designed and built to blend in with the natural surroundings and is environmentally friendly. Kaingu offers a superb safari experience. The main area of the lodge consists of a central boma with a lounge, dining room as well as a bar area offering spectacular views over the river. The lodge consists of one family house and four luxurious, thatched East African safari tents raised on wooden platforms, each with en-suite facilities. The tents are perfectly positioned, ensuring privacy and safety as well as breathtaking views.

Kaingu Safari Lodge Game Viewing

Kafue National Park is Zambia's oldest and largest national park. It was proclaimed in 1950 and is spread over 22 400 square kilometres, it is the second largest national park in the world and about the size of Wales. It is remote and diverse and offers guests a true wilderness experience. Large prides of lion as well as leopard and cheetah are the major predators in the park. There is an abundance of smaller carnivores from the side-striped jackal, civet, genet and various mongooses. Bird watching - especially on the rivers and the dambos (wetlands) is superb. Nearly 500 recorded species of birds have been recorded throughout the park. The Kafue and Lunga Rivers offer superb fishing opportunities, especially good bream, barbel and fresh water pike. Kaingu is an activity orientated lodge with a variety of activities on offer, however, guests may choose to sit back and relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the African bush. The emphasis at Kaingu is on walking safaris, river activities, with sundowner walks and river cruises being the highlight. All game activities will be accompanied by expert guides.
