Tarangire National park offers an abundance of wildlife and offers a superb safari experience all year round. Guests can enjoy walking safaris and exclusive night game drives at the lodge. Tarangire Treetops offers luxurious accommodation in tents situated on raised wooden platforms offering spectacular views over the Tarangire Sand River. The area is home to some of the largest herds of elephant in Africa, and other wildlife including buffalo, lion, cheetah, and leopard. The area also offers incredible bird-watching and is especially rich in birds of prey.

Tarangire Treetops Game Viewing and Activities

Tarangire National Park is noted for its elephant population and spectacular baobabs of every shape and colour. Wildlife in the area includes buffalo, lion, cheetah, leopard and huge herds of elephant, frequenting the camps water hole. The camp also offers the unique facility of night game drives and game walks, including a Masai experience in an authentic boma. In the dry season this river is the lifeline, attracting much of the game. The Tarangire National Park is also synonymous with two of the rarer game species; the greater kudu and the Fringe-eared Oryx. In addition, leopard and tree- climbing pythons often inhabit the trees. Due to the low volume of traffic in the park, the game is wild, being unaccustomed to vehicles, this offers a truly unique experience. For guests on the Full Game Package, two game viewing drives in open-topped 4WD vehicles are included in the package. Large herds of antelope of all sorts including: eland, lesser kudu, Kongoni, impala, Zebra, gazelles, buffalo, wildebeest, leopard, elephant, rhino and lots of smaller mammals.
