Sabora Tented Camp Highlights

Sabora Tented Camp is situated in the Grumeti Reserves in northern Tanzania and forms part of the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem, bordering on the Serengeti National Park. Sabora Tented Camp offers visitors a superb safari experience in a vast private concession 350,000 acres (140,000 hectares) in size teeming with game and relatively untouched. Sabora Tented Camp offers a romantic atmosphere combined with personal service and elegant tents tastefully decorated in antique furniture and Persian rugs. Guests can enjoy magnificent views and spectacular sunsets from the viewing deck overlooking the busy waterhole. Meals at Sabora are a feast and delicious meals and fine wines are served in the dining room.

Sabora Tented Camp Description

Sabora Tented Camp offers 9 luxury air-conditioned tents each offering en-suite bathrooms with a bath and outdoor shower, a dressing area, reading area, viewing deck with Swarovski spotting scope and a library lounge tent. The camp caters for a maximum of 18 guests at a time ensuring personal attention at all times. Facilities in the tents include an electronic safe, standing fan, hairdryer, direct dial telephone (US lines) and wireless internet access. The main area of Sabora offers a dining room, bar lounge with satellite television, DVD player and library, elevated viewing deck and a swimming pool. Children under 10 years old can be accommodated only if the lodge is booked on an exclusive basis. Other facilities at the lodge include a Spa, yoga and gym facilities, The Singita Shop stocked with a range of African artefacts and curios as well as Wireless internet access and satellite television in the main lodge is available.

Sabora Tented Camp Game Viewing

Game drives and walks can be enjoyed with professional and experienced guides whilst other activities include archery, lawn croquet, mountain biking, equestrian pursuits, and hot air ballooning. The Equestrian Centre is situated a few minutes walk from Sasakwa and is home to sixteen horses. The Centre includes a lunging arena, fenced paddock, and a walled 2.7 kilometre riding track, which can also be used for walking and jogging. More experienced riders can enjoy outrides onto the Serengeti plains. Tack is English style, and guests have the choice of either English or Western saddles. There are the spa facilities available. A complimentary one hour spa treatment is included in your stay. There is also mountain biking, archery, tennis, badminton, lawn croquet, billiards and swimming to pass the time. Hot air balloon trips can be arranged (not included).
