Rufiji River Camp offers a magnificent location on the banks of the Rufiji River in the Selous Game Reserve in Tanzania and promises a peaceful and tranquil setting. The camp offers spectacular views and guests can enjoy game watching from the viewing decks at the camp or the comfort of their veranda overlooking the river which is home to an abundance of wildlife. Activities include game drives, boat safaris as well as walking safaris accompanied by experienced and knowledgeable rangers and trackers. A safari on foot is one of the best ways to explore the Selous Game Reserve. Rufiji River Camp is set in the heart of the reserve and guests can enjoy traditional tented accommodation.
Rufiji River Camp offers 20 tents providing magnificent views over the river and breathtaking sunsets. Each tent has a private shaded veranda ideal for reading, writing or just relaxing and watching the game wander by. Facilities in the tents include comfortable beds, walled en-suite facilities and mosquito nets. The main area of the lodge consists of a dining, bar and lounge area overlooking the Rufiji River. Meals are delicious and of international standard. The camp also offers a library. Electricity and hot water are powered by solar panels; filtered water is available throughout camp including the tents. A covered swimming pool is situated in the camp, between reception and mess area.
