Lion Sands 1933 Description
Lion Sands 1933 consists of four spacious suites, each with their own private view of the Sabie River. The bathrooms are en-suite and offer double vanity units, an elegant bath and outdoor shower. There is also a children's dormitory that can accommodate up to 8 children, with his and hers bathroom and an inter-leading bedroom for an au-pair. Facilities in the suites include air-conditioning and overhead fans, electronic safes, personal bars, hairdryers as well as private wooden viewing decks. The main lodge consist of a reception lounge, main kitchen, laundry room, presentation kitchen, dining room, lounge with fireplace, an outdoor living room, open dining area on the deck, a wine cellar, a gym and sauna, an additional lounge/playroom with satellite television, a library, lap swimming pool with wooden wrap-around decks as well as air-conditioning and overhead fans.
Lion Sands 1933 Game Viewing and Activities
Lion Sands Private Game Reserve is located in the southern Sabi Sand Game Reserve, an area famous for its spectacular predator viewing. The Reserve has exclusive access to the Sabie River, the largest perennial river system within the greater reserve which ensures a classic safari experience through both the summer and winter season. Game viewing at Lion Sands is of a high standard and compares with the best in the world. Guests can expect to see lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, cheetah, buffalo, giraffe, zebra and a variety of general game on game drives. The birdlife is superb in the area. Wildlife activities include game drives of approximately four hours, accompanied by a qualified ranger and tracker. Guests not only get close to big game but also learn to identify birds and trees and learn about local bush lore. The night game viewing is a unique experience. Nocturnal sightings might include bush babies, the elusive genet, or predators hunting and stalking their prey.
