Mushara Outpost is a luxury tented camp situated on an ancient dry river bed on the doorstep of the prestigious Etosha National Park. Mushara Outpost offers luxurious accommodation constructed of wood and canvas, offering visitors safari-like tents situated on raised wooden platforms with beautiful flowing mosquito nets and large glass sliding doors and windows offering magnificent views. The emphasis at Mushara Outpost is on personalized service and allowing guests the opportunity to explore Etosha National Park.
Mushara Outpost can accommodate a maximum of 16 guests offering a private and personal safari experience. The custom made tent-like structures are built of wood and canvas; each tent is situated on a raised wooden deck. A large glass sliding door leads into the tent, all windows and doors are covered with fly-screen. Large glass windows from ceiling to floor offer plenty of air movement during night. Air- conditioning adds an extra level of comfort. The open plan bathroom has an enclosed toilet with ceiling and two large windows. The shower walls are glass from top to bottom. Guests can unzip the outside canvas wall of the shower and enjoy the view. A mini bar, coffee station, safe deposit box, telephone, mosquito net, hair drier and air conditioner are available in the tent. The tents also offer a private veranda. The main house is comfortable and old-fashioned, offering an old farm house feel. There is a spacious veranda offering magnificent views, a restaurant and bar as well as a swimming pool. A library as well as internet access is available.
Etosha National Park is Namibia's prime wildlife destination and one of Southern Africa's finest Game Reserves. The park covers an area of approximately 22 270 km² and is home to a wide variety of wildlife. Game drives are available in open vehicles accompanied by expert rangers. Etosha is world famous for offering good plains game. General game viewing is excellent and the best time for game viewing would be from May to September during the cooler months. Apart from the plains game, zebra, wildebeest, springbok gemsbok and impala, guests at Mushara can also expect to see to see elephant, giraffe, black rhino and lion and if you are lucky enough you will see leopard and cheetah.
