Lodge Highlights

Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge is the first lodge ever to be built in a Kenyan National Park. The stone built lodge is located on a ridge in the lee of Mount Kilimanjaro adjacent to a teeming waterhole which is visited daily by vast herds of elephant, buffalo and plains game. Kilaguni takes its name from a Kamba word meaning 'young rhino'.

Lodge Description

Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge offers 56 bedrooms and a spacious veranda from where guests can witness spectacular views and magical African sunsets. The views extend out over some of the most rugged scenery in the park with the snow capped Mount Kilimanjaro looming above the mountains as a backdrop. Each room has an en-suite bathroom with hot water. The timber decked open dining area is cool and tranquil in decor as it overlooks the vast plains displaying awesome scenery and foliage. The restaurant serves both African and international cuisine. Kilaguni Safari Lodge also boasts a sparkling swimming pool.

Game Viewing

Tsavo National Park is one of the largest parks in the world. Tsavo West is an international wildlife and environmental treasure chest. It contains a variety or habitat, geological soil types, plants, animals and birds. Tsavo West is hillier, rockier, greener and more vegetated than Tsavo East. Over 50 different kinds of mammals graze hunt and scavenge in the park's grasslands and bush. Large populations of elephant, leopard, hippo and lions roam the plains. Zebras are always seen quenching their thirst near Tsavo West's luxurious game lodges. Gerenuk and long necked antelope are the more unusual of the animals to be found in the park.
