Eagle Island Camp Description
Eagle Island Camp offers luxury tents built on raised wooden platforms, offering magnificent views. The large private decks are furnished with chairs and a hammock, perfect for viewing wildlife or a private dinner. The tents offer en-suite bathrooms, fully stocked mini bars, four poster beds complete with mosquito netting, ceiling fans as well as air-conditioning. The private suite at Eagle Island Camp offers the ultimate in luxury accommodation complete with a private plunge pool and his & hers outdoor showers. There is an open-air covered dining, bar and lounge area, a viewing deck and fully stocked Fish Eagle Bar, voted by the New York times as one of the most romantic bars in the world, an ideal venue to watch the sunset over the Delta. There is also an outside camp fire and seating area as well as an off site bush dining venue.
Eagle Island Camp Game Viewing
Eagle Island Camp is a bird watcher’s paradise. It offers peace and tranquillity, however for those seeking adventure Eagle Island will not let you down. The camp offers guided walking safaris, mokoro excursions and motor boat excursions around the myriad of waterways. During the months of November through March, when lower water levels make it possible to drive, game drives are offered in open 4x4 vehicles off the island, guests can also enjoy a game drive combined with a water activity. The camp offers game viewing activities in the morning and late afternoons. Bird and game viewing is done either from motorised boats or mokoro (traditional dugout canoes). Private scenic game-viewing flights over the Okavango Delta are also available as well as private excursions to secret islands, intimate romantic dinners and indulgent massages and body wraps.
