Linyanti Bush Camp Introduction
Linyanti Bush Camp enjoys perhaps the most secretive region of northern Botswana where it is located on the edge of the Linyanti Marsh in the Chobe Enclave. Famously known as the home of elephants, these giant mammals, among others, gather along the waterways of the marsh when the rest of Chobe is bone dry during the winter months. This is a place of tall, shady trees, abundant birdlife, and bountiful waterbuck, buffalo, red lechwe, leopard, and lion. It is also off the beaten track and rather remote, so it is quiet and exclusive to the guests at Linyanti Bush Camp. The camp itself is a masterpiece of just six canvas suites, raised on elevated wooden platforms overlooking the water.

Linyanti Bush Camp Game Viewing and Activities
The Linyanti Marsh is the only source of water for miles around during the dry season when the Kalahari sands dry up, and it becomes a hub of activity as animals flock to drink and enjoy the presence of food and water. Some of the special sightings Linyanti Bush Camp enjoys both on land and by water are of the elusive sitatunga antelope, an abundance of hippo and crocodile in the bulging waterways, endangered African wild dog, roan, and sable antelope. Lions follow the herds of buffalo to the water, and leopards pounce on impala from the cover of the dense bush. The activities include game drives (and night drives) and walks through the wilderness led by a guide, Mokoro excursions when the water levels permit, and watching wildlife pass in secret from inside a hide. Helicopter rides are on offer from April to October at an additional cost.
