Introduction
MalaMala Game Reserve is situated in the eastern part of South Africa in the province of Mpumalanga. It shares a common border of 19km / 12 miles with the Kruger National Park and is part of a conservation gene pool that covers 5.5 million acres of land in the heart of the South African Lowveld. Sable Camp is luxurious and situated at the southern end of the MalaMala Camp in a prime elevated position overlooking the Sand River and surrounding bush. It’s an ideal retreat for guests who prefer privacy and exclusivity.
Camp Description
The Sable Camp accommodates 14 guests in 5 luxury suites and the Lions Den - a 2 bedroomed, spacious luxury suite with magnificent views, accommodation 4 guests. The fully air-conditioned Sable Camp has a truly colonial feel enhanced with modern comforts. The camp has an intimate safari bar, swimming pool and large wooden deck surrounding the camp. The Sable Camp does not accommodate children under the age of 16, unless the entire camp is reserved exclusively at the respective charge. Other facilities and services include, separate his and hers bathrooms per suite, full range of guest amenities, heated towel rails, insect proof screening on all windows, mini bar in each bedroom, a mini safe in each bedroom, hair dryers, bath robes, shaver plugs, insect repellent supplied in all bedrooms and on all vehicles, private verandas overlooking the surrounding bush, purified water, internet Connection and DVD Player, filtered swimming pool. Game Viewing
The area is famous for the Big Five, Leopard, Lion, Buffalo, Elephant and Rhinoceros. Cheetah, hyena, wild dog, zebra, wildebeest, baboon and antelope can also be seen in this prime wilderness area. Top class rangers and trackers will accompany guests on game drives - a journey of discovery and adventure in 4X4 vehicles - allowing an intimate association with not only the big and dangerous, but also many other aspects of this environmental paradise. After dark, spotlight safaris provide the opportunity to view nocturnal creatures and carnivores on the hunt and walking safaris with an armed ranger can be arranged on request.
