Ol SEKI MARA CAMP
Masai Mara
Kenya

Introduction

Ol Seki Camp is situated on a wonderful rocky promontory in the northern Mara, with the Il Supukiai River below. This seasonal camp enjoys panoramic views in a gorgeous wilderness area north of the Mara. The beautifully designed tents are nestled amongst Cordia and Acacia trees. Ol Seki was opened in July 2005 by Sue Allan who has run luxury safaris for 35 years throughout Kenya and East Africa with her company.

Camp Description

The simple modern architecture creates an exciting living space in the 8 well decorated and uncluttered tents, each with huge beds, crisp linen, wooden floors and furniture, thoughtfully designed lighting, a changing room and en-suite hot showers and flush toilets. Dining is a sumptuous affair with delectable meals served in and elegant candlelit setting.

Game Viewing

The Masai Mara hosts the natural phenomenon of the Great Migration each year from July to October. Apart from the Migration the park is popular because of the variety, number and accessibility of wildlife. The reserve is one of the few places in Kenya where you can see large cats and even observe prides of lion hunting, especially around the Musiara swamps. The elusive cheetah and leopard also seem to be a little more willing to show themselves. The park teems with buffalo, zebra and various antelopes. Impala, wildebeest, Grant' s and Thomson' s gazelle, Kirk' s dik-dik and topi roam in groups. The black rhino is far harder to spot due to poachers. The common Masai giraffe mingle with baboons, elephants, warthogs and hyena.
