Nsolo Bush Camp
South Luangwa National Park
Zambia

Introduction

Nsolo Camp is a romantic, thatched camp, situated on a waterhole in the shade of a large grove of trees, just three hours' safari walk from Luwi Bushcamp.

Nsolo, which is the local name for the honey guide bird, consists of four spacious canvas-roofed chalets set on raised wooden platforms under the shade of large evergreen trees.

Each of the open fronted rooms has an en suite open air bathroom and a private verandah over looking the surrounding bush. There is a thatched chitenje with bar and dining area offering a peaceful refuge where guests can study the collection of books or view a variety of game at the waterhole.

Camp Description

Accommodation consists of four open-fronted rooms, built on raised wooden platforms under a thatched roof. Where possible, the natural features have been incorporated into the structure.

At night, the canvas curtains can be drawn for added security. The bathrooms, as with all of our bushcamps, are open to the trees and stars above.

Game Viewing

During a stay here guests can choose from vehicle based day and night game drives, as well as guided bush walks. The South Luangwa National Park has a great diversity of wildlife and is regarded as a very good place to see leopard as well as lion.

Nsolo combines well with the other three Norman Carr bush camps in South Luangwa as part of a walking safari itinerary.
