Introduction

Nguni River Lodge is situated in a private concession in the Addo Elephant National Park offering spectacular views of the Zuurberg Mountains. The lodge offers luxury accommodation and incredible wildlife sightings. The area is well known for its high concentration of elephants.

Lodge Description

The lodge consists of 8 luxurious suites with en-suite bathrooms, outdoor showers, a private balcony, a fireplace, a stone bath and private plunge pool. Facilities include tea & coffee making facilities, air-conditioning, wine rack, full in-room bar facility, hair dryers, a mini-safe and exclusive guest amenities. The lodge consists of a library, bar and lounge area, viewing decks, dining area, curio shop, both an indoor and outdoor boma experience.

Game Viewing

There are more than 450 elephants in the Addo Elephant National Park as well as a variety of general game including, Cape buffalo, black rhino, lion, a variety of antelope species, as well as the unique flightless dung beetle, found almost exclusively in this region. Some of the unique features of the park include, unrivalled natural diversity, with five of South Africa's seven major vegetation zones (biomes). The Big 7 (Elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo, leopard, whales and great white sharks) in their natural habitat and the area is Malaria Free. Activities include, game drives and guided bush walks and are accompanied by experienced and enthusiastic guides who will share their knowledge with guests.
