Moremi Safari Camps Botswana

Moremi falls within the tribal land of the Batswana and is named after the late Chief Moremi III.

Today, Moremi rates as one of the leading wildlife areas of the world. The mosaic of grasslands, floodplains, palm-tree islets, forests, lily lagoons and winding water channels combine to form a perfectly constructed puzzle, in which animals wander as they please.

Baines Camp The lodge, named after the famed nineteenth century explorer and artist, Thomas Baines is located on the Boro River, in the private concession NG32 neighbouring the Moremi Game Reserve. The area is superb for viewing all animals and bird species. Guests may explore by land in open 4 X 4 vehicles and water, often into the night, to discover nocturnal species. Camp Moremi Camp Moremi is situated on the beautiful Xakanaxa Lagoon in the heart of the Okavango Delta, within the Moremi Wildlife Reserve. Chiefs Camp Chief’s Camp is situated in the Mombo Concession of the Moremi Game Reserve, which is known as the “predator capital” of Africa and is considered to have the finest game viewing in Southern Africa. Stanleys Camp Set in an amphitheatre of ebony and sausage trees on the southern tip of Chief’s Island, Stanley’s Camp borders the southern section of the Moremi Game Reserve. This private concession is located by definition in seasonal delta. Stanley’s consists of 8 classic styled safari tents raised on wooden decking. Mombo Camp Hidden from the world within Botswana's Okavango Delta and situated just off the north~western tip of Chiefs Island, is the secret paradise of Mombo. The "new" Mombo Camp is situated deep within the Moremi Game Reserve, on a scenic island about 800 metres from the old Mombo. Large concentrations of wildlife occur right in front of the new camp. Little Mombo Camp Little Mombo is situated on Mombo Island, adjoining the northern tip of Chief's Island, and is within the Moremi Game Reserve in northern Botswana.
