 Mobile Safari Camps

Introduction

Mobile Safaris ventures to the extreme ends of this spectacular region. From the Gol Mountains and the Empakai Crater to Ol Kerian Gorge, flexibility, mobility and privacy are catered for every step of the way.

The 'pack and go' nature of this mobile camp means that you can move at the drop of a hat. Adventure, great wildlife, remote areas, and versatility are the highlights of this style of safari.

These camps move with their own safari crew. While you spend your day roaming across Africa with your private guide -on wheels or on foot - the camp is moved on, raised for the night in yet another amazing landscape. They are well equipped, but light and simple, limiting the need for heavy transport. This means they move faster and further, so you get to the hidden places, though still in relative luxury.

They can support both walking and game-driving safaris or a combination of both - private 4x4 photo vehicles and professional guides are available at all times.

Location

All you have to do at the end of each dramatic day is arrive - tired, wired (in a nice way) and dusty - to piping hot showers, ice filled gin & tonics, and a roaring campfire. Dreamy days end with dinner, stars, and wandering off to your softly beckoning bed tent, furnished with all - but nothing more than - a great Bedouin could wish for. These safaris take you into the prime game viewing locations of Tanzania's National Parks where you might spend 3 to 4 days in each private campsite. This allows you to explore the surrounding area thoroughly and guarantees you outstanding game viewing.

Accommodation

The large mess & bar tent and walk-in sleeping tents with en-suite bathrooms ensure a decadent camping experience.  The bed tents are canvas, walk-in and well equipped, with the bathrooms set at the rear, while the mess is large and friendly, but with nothing too grand that it cant be packed up and carried to a whole new area the very next day.  For groups of 2 8 guests.

Activities

The freedom to plan totally flexible safari itineraries every day - with a mixture of game drives, walking safaris, picnics & sundowners - your private 4x4 photo vehicle, with experienced professional guide, on hand throughout your stay

Huge expanses of the country can be traversed in mere days in the company of experienced safari guides. The areas can be explored by vehicle or by foot and the comforts of camp await after a long day in the bush. It's a pared down approach to safari luxury. In simpler surroundings, the African bush pushes boundaries and challenges the most intrepid of explorers. As always, you dictate your own pace - the continent is yours to explore

The 'pack-and-go' nature of this mobile camp means that you can move it at the drop of a hat. Adventure, great wildlife, the remoter areas, flexibility and total mobility are the hallmarks of this fabulous safari.
