Introduction

Clearwater Kudu Lodge is a private game lodge and is situated in the Welgevonden Game Reserve nestled in the picturesque and well known Waterberg Mountains.
The area is malaria free and offers luxury, comfort and a true unrivalled African bush experience.

Lodge Description

The Lodge consists of the exclusive Tshetshepi Lodge and the Kudu Lodge. Each lodge consists of three exquisite private chalets and one double unit, accommodating a maximum of ten guests. Kudu lodge combines the comforts of a fully equipped and spacious home with the peace and tranquillity of the bush. The lodge itself is a tastefully renovated old farmhouse with a large open plan living and dining area, a stone-clad fire place and modern kitchen facilities. The lodge offers two separate braai (barbecue) areas, each supplied with well seasoned wood. Kudu Lodge, with its open Savannah overlooks a spectacular waterhole. Lie in luxury and watch page after page out of Africa pass in front of your eyes or sit back on the deck and absorb the vastness of Africa.

Game Viewing

Qualified and experienced guides will accompany guests on all game activities and guests can expect to see the big five, lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo in their natural surroundings. Apart from the big five, Welgevonden includes kudu, giraffe, zebra, warthog and the rare roan antelope amongst others. For the bird lovers there are approximately 300 species that occur in this diverse and magnificent 33 000 hectares of bushveld. Morning game drives are unique and guests can watch the rising African sun, evening/night drives are a highlight, where the mysterious nightlife can be viewed by spotlight. For the more adventurous guests, guided bush walks are available.
