Introduction

Kijani House is small, exclusive hotel overlooking the entrance to the Shela Channel on Lamu Island.

Hotel Description

All 10 rooms at Kijani House furnished with coastal antiques, are en-suite and have its own balcony or veranda facing the garden and the sea. The rooms are spread throughout the garden in three separate small traditional Swahili buildings with walls made of coral, boriti ceiling and makuti roofs. Kijani Restaurant serves fresh fish, lobster and prawns, along with meat, fresh vegetables and African and Italian specialities. At Kijani House they make their own bread, produce marmalade and yoghurt from their small farm on the island. The farm also provides eggs and honey. In the large tropical garden, Kijani House boasts two fresh water swimming pools where you will find peace and relaxation.
