Introduction

Karen Cottages are located in Karen, a beautiful suburb approximately 20 miles from downtown Nairobi. The cottages are located in the midst of one of the oldest formal gardens in Kenya.

Camp Description

Karen Cottages can accommodate as many as 30 guests. All cottages have been designed in the historic Swedo House with hi-beam ceilings, a fireplace, shower and bath, wood and mazeras stone floors, mini-bar, satellite TV and internet connection. All cottages have a veranda for relaxing while enjoying the birds and flowers of the garden. Eight of the cottages have individual suites and three have two bedroom suites with a common large sitting room. The honeymoon comprises of a large bedroom and a sitting room with a fireplace. The Karen Blixen Coffee Garden Restaurant is a popular place to spend a relaxing lunch and afternoon. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The refurbished 1910 Swedo House is available for tea or cappuccino, or for a romantic dining atmosphere.
