Introduction
Situated in the malaria free Madikwe Game Reserve boasting 75,000 hectares of big five 'territory, Jaci's Tree Lodge invites guests to share the wilderness of Africa in the exclusive luxury of this lodge. Jaci's is located in an ideal spot overlooking an established and well used water hole, under a grove of Tamboti trees, on the edge of the Marico River.
Lodge Description
Each of the 8 spacious Tree Houses is constructed on stilts, up to 6 meters above the ground. The open plan bathroom features an enormous stone bath and handmade copper taps as well as an outdoor "jungle" shower, allowing you to enjoy the forest surrounds. Raised wooden walkways, suspended in the forest canopy lining the banks of the Marico River, will connect with the extraordinary Main Lodge and its generous facilities. The raised rosewood walkways link the rooms to the main lodge. The spacious open-plan main building at Jaci's Tree Lodge includes a magnificent bar and lounge area separate from the dining area by a 4 sided open fireplace. Jaci has created a truly African lodge, enhanced by a superior personal service and a very intimate safari experience. Expect outstanding meals from the open plan kitchen. Guests can enjoy outdoor dining on the deck above the forest floor; enjoy the night symphony and the vibrant stars above! Children of all ages are welcome and are specially catered for.
Game Viewing
The Madikwe Game Reserve is home to a tremendous diversity of fauna and flora. It is home to lion, leopard, over 400 elephant, black and white rhino, buffalo, hippo, brown and spotted hyena, giraffe, wild dog, and cheetah. In addition, the expansive grass plains boast gemsbok, springbok, and over 340 species of birds. The camp is a superb walking and open vehicle safari destination where guests are accompanied by well-trained and informative rangers who are able to interpret the many encounters whilst on safari. Jaci’s Safari Lodge offers both early morning and evening game drives and walks.
