Idube Private Game Reserve is situated in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, in the heart of South Africa's premier wildlife conservation area.
Head for the captivating bush kaleidoscope of Idube, a world of adventure and discovery set deep in the wild heartland of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, part of the world renowned Greater Kruger Park. An exclusive family owned lodge, Idube is dedicated to giving guests a genuine bush experience.
Idube takes a maximum of 20 people and this gives the staff the opportunity to take extra special care of every guest. The lodge is also a great place to entertain for business, to run small conferences, or to have a wedding with a difference. For bigger groups, Idube can easily arrange to combine with other lodges nearby, with joint dinners for the group at special venues.
Camp Description
The Lodge has a magnificent swimming pool, full bar facilities, laundry services and all chalets are air conditioned.
The Lodge building, comprising of wood and thatch is unique in its construction and offers magnificent views of the surrounding African veld from the upper deck.
The lodge caters for a maximum of 16 guests, and comprises of 8 luxury thatched bedrooms, individually situated and tucked away in the indigenous gardens.
All bedrooms are en suite with air-conditioning, fans, and mosquito nets, and bathrooms are equipped with showers, toilets and sinks.
The lodge offers two viewing decks, a library and a plunge pool.
Breakfast is a full English style buffet. High tea includes savouries and cakes; dinner is a four course meal under the stars. Sumptuous dinners are either served in the dining room or under the African sky, around a roaring fire in the boma.
Game Viewing
Djuma Game Reserve is home to South Africas "Big 5", as well as cheetah, hyena, jackal, buck, giraffe, and zebra. Game drives begin early in the morning, when most of the animals are active and sightings are common. The early start also ensures that you dont miss out on the magical African sunrise. The lodge offers two safaris daily, as well as a daily guided walk in the bush.
The safari experience at Bush Lodge is unique in that the lodge does not only concentrate on the Big Five.In addition to game viewing activities, Djuma offers you the unique opportunity to learn about the history of the reserve and the local people. You can also sit back and relax under thatch on the upper deck or alongside the outdoor swimming pool which is positioned in a small grove of Tamboti trees.
