The lodge aims to recreate the ambiance of a bygone era, when explorers ventured from the comfort and trapping of civilisation to the mysterious land of Africa to experience the ultimate adventure; the African Safari.

Camp Description

Luxury accommodation at Hoyo Hoyo is in 6 beautifully furnished traditional Tsonga huts; decorated in an earthy style the suites are a blend of modern amenities with specially crafted objects, symbolic of ancient traditions. All rooms have king size beds, air conditioning and en suite bathrooms with antique styled baths. Each hut overlooks river and savannnah- affording a spectacular view of Africas best.

The camp offers a swimming pool, butler service, and welcome drinks upon arrival. The limited land lines and lack of cell phone reception makes for a truly African experience!

Dining at Hoyo Hoyo is an unique experience, and can take place in a variety of settings. Guests may enjoy open air dining, or may dine in the Lodge itself. Private dining as well as picnics may also be arranged.

Game Viewing

Game viewing at Hoyo-Hoyo Tsonga Lodge is not to be missed. Because it lies in a private concession, guests are able to explore within the concession as well as within the Kruger National Park. The lodge is home to creatures great and small. Africa's Big 5 - lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo - roam the reserve as well as a diverse variety of antelope, birds and insects. Open game drives, guided bush walks, and bird watching are all offered at Hoyo-Hoyo, as well as a self-drive option through the Kruger National Park.

Elephant spotting, in particular, is spectacular at Hoyo Hoyo, and sightings are guaranteed from the lodge, which is situated on an ancient elephant route.
