Introduction
Situated in the Great Kruger National Park, Gomo Gomo Game Lodge
is a unique and private getaway An intimate camp built on the banks
of the Nhlaralumi River in the prestigious Timbavati Private Nature
Reserve, one off South African most pristine and unspoilt reserves
know of its excellent game viewing and diverse habitats. With a
common unfenced boarder to the Kruger National Park, Timbavati now
forms part of the Great Kruger National Park, an area comprising
of more than 2.2 million hectares of untamed bushveld. Shaded by
immense Jackalberry and Weeping Boerbean Trees, the camp comprises
of five fully furnished, thatched chalets and four East African
Style Luxury Tented Accommodation built in traditional style all
with en-suite facilities
Camp Description
Gomo Gomo Game Lodge caters for two to eighteen guests. Each Thatched
Chalet and East African Style Luxury Tent tastefully decorated and
furnished with the emphasis on outstanding comfort. Electricity
is supplied to both the chalets and tents allowing for bedside lamps
fans and power points through out.
Central faculties include our massive viewing deck and splash pool
with a 180-degree view of the river shaded by a centaury old Leadwood
tree. Breakfast and lunch are served on the deck in an open thatched-roofed
lapa overlooking the river, while inner is served traditional African
style around a log fire in one of our two bomas. Our cuisine is
a combination of African and Western influences with the focus on
exceptional quality.
Game Viewing
Your private safari at Gomo Gomo Game Lodge allows access to over
12,000 hectares of the finest big game country, with lion, leopard,
elephant, rhino and buffalo thriving alongside giraffe, zebra and
a variety of antelope. Bird watching is wonderful, with various
eagles, owls, francolins, kingfishers, rollers and weavers among
the over 300 recorded species. Game drives are conducted by our
experienced rangers and Shangaan trackers in open 4X4 vehicles,
with excellent photographic opportunities. Guided bush walks provide
an insight into nature's finer details and the chance to track game
on-foot.
