Introduction
Giraffe Manor is surrounded by 140 acres of indigenous forest, some 30 minutes drive from Nairobi city centre. The Manor has superb views of Ngong Hills. Built in 1932 by Sir David Duncan, it was not until 1974 when two highly endangered Rothschild giraffe were brought to the estate. Here they thrived and produced several further generations of giraffe.
Camp Description
Giraffe Manor comprises of 6 fully furnished en-suite rooms. The rooms are furnished with large four-poster beds, antique furnishings and striking art deco bathrooms. The second floor offers beautiful views of the surrounding forests and distinctive Ngong Hills. Giraffe Manor is famous for its elegance, warm hospitality and remarkable Rothschild giraffe. It is the only place in the world that you can feed giraffes from your second floor bedroom window, over the lunch table and at the front door.
