Introduction

Etali Safari Lodge is situated in the spectacular malaria free Madikwe Game Reserve, surrounded by pristine African bushveld. Etali Safari Lodge is an exclusive and intimate lodge offering five star luxury.

Etali Safari Lodge consists of eight luxurious air-conditioned suites, each set apart for total privacy in its own bushveld domain. The suites have en-suite baths, inside and outside showers as well as private decks. Etali's state-of the-art Wellness Centre is a unique concept. The cuisine is a contemporary fusion of traditional African with an Asian twist. There is no set menu as the chef extraordinaire selects only the best local produce daily. Other than fine dining in the dining room or main deck, traditional South African dinners are offered in the 'lesaka' kraal built in stone.

Game Viewing

Madikwe Game Reserve is home to a tremendous diversity of fauna and flora, including the white and black rhino, buffalo, lion, elephant, leopard, cheetah, and wild dog. All game activities are accompanied by well trained and informative rangers who are able to interpret the many encounters whilst on safari. Open vehicle game drives, walks, tracking, stargazing, bush dining, birding, and botany interests are all activities that are available to guests. The Madikwe Game Reserve is a bird watcher's paradise, with over 340 species listed here. These include many species of raptor, such as the Martial Eagle, the African Fish Eagle, the Secretary Bird and the Pale Chanting Goshawk. Spotted Eagle Owls are common here, as is the tiny Pearlspotted Owl.
