The country house is located near a number of attractions including Elephant Orphanage – home to abandoned baby elephants who are nurtured until they are ready for the wild life again, Karen Blixen Museum - originally built in 1912 and is now known as a National Museum of Kenya, The Giraffe Centre – an educational centre where the endangered Rothschild giraffe are protected and bred, and Nairobi National Park – being the only protected area in the world with a variety of animals and birds close to a capital city.
