CHOBE MARINA LODGE
Chobe National Park, Botswana

Chobe National Park Marina Lodge

Chobe Marina Lodge is located in the North Eastern corner of Botswana, where the four great African nations of Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Namibia converge, surrounded by the natural beauty of Africa. Each offer their own attractions: the Chobe River, Chobe National Park, Kasane Forest Reserve, the Caprivi Strip and the mighty Zambezi River. With Victoria Falls only a hours drive Chobe Marina Lodge is the ultimate destination when in Southern Africa. The Lodge is 4kms from Kasane International Airport and Air Botswana has direct flights from Johannesburg to Kasane with a short stop in the Limpopo Valley.

Camp Description

The essence of Africa is captured in the sixty-six river facing bedrooms. Getting up close and personal to nature is the main feature at Chobe Marina Lodge for the ultimate safari experience. Photographic opportunities are endless, spectacular sunset moments are bountiful and with the more than 45 000 elephant that contently make their home within the Chobe National Park, many wonderful memories are inevitable.

The lodge offers a vast range of activities to suit every individual, these ranges from wildlife drives, walking, canoeing, fishing, shopping and even conference facilities. Situated within the picturesque village on Kasane,(the Subiya word for Waterberry Tree) the lodge is within walking distance of all major facilities including banks, post offices, pharmacies, supermarkets and petrol services stations. Game Viewing

Chobe Marina Lodge is home to an abundance of wildlife, including the almost guaranteed sighting of the legendary fish eagle as it swoops on the unsuspecting prey beneath the waters of the Chobe River. The daily feeding rituals of squirrel, mongoose, warthog and Vervet monkeys are sighted across the lush expanse of the gardens and the ebony trees.

As the famous Chobe National Park is a 10 minute drive from the Lodge coming across Africas big 5 is will most likely be on the cards. The national park covers 11,000 sq km and is acclaimed to having some of the greatest concentrations of game as well as elephants in the world. The wildlife viewing is legendary and makes this a not to be missed tourist destination. A special feature of the area is the annual migration of zebra, but a visit may include seeing a wide range antelope including sable, oribi, reedbuck and the strikingly colourful Chobe bushbuck. A cruise on a river boat is another great way to view game.
