Expert guides will accompany guests on activities such as, game drives, night drives, guided bush walks with the San Bushmen for a cultural experience, mokoro rides, walking safaris and bird watching.
Itinerary Maun/Maun Packge
Day 1 & 2: - Kalahari
On arrival at Maun airport, guests will be met by a representative and assisted to their light aircraft transfer to
Deception Valley Lodge for 2 nights. Activities include game drives, night drives and guided walks with the San
Bushmen for a cultural experience. Discover an oasis in the Kalahari of Botswana not far from the famous Okavango Delta a luxury safari lodge called Deception Valley Lodge.The main complex boasts a dining room; lounge and bar area decorated in warm Kalahari colours making use of Bushmen and other African artefacts. To feel the pulse of Africa, guests go on game drives and track wildlife in an open four-wheel-drive vehicle or take to the bush on foot with experienced guides (Bushmen) who share their knowledge of game in the region.
Day 3 & 4: - Okavango Delta
Guests will be transferred by light aircraft to Mapula Camp where they will be staying for 2 nights. A variety of
activities are available at Mapula, game drives, night drives, mokoro rides, walking safaris, birding. Mapula has
permanent water and can offer water activities year round. Mapula Lodge is situated in the North Eastern area of the Okavango Delta, just outside the Moremi Game Reserve. This is a private area thus being able to offer a full spectrum of activities.
The main complex with its sweeping decks overlooks the permanent lagoon where the resident pod of hippopotamus resides. Game viewing is particularly good in this area, and the trees around the Lodge are home to a huge variety of birds. Being in a permanent water area, Mapula Lodge can offer year round water activities, especially important during January - May when water levels in the Okavango can become too low in most areas to allow the use of the traditional mokoro.
Day 5: - Maun
Today guests will take a road transfer back to Maun airport in time for their onward travel arrangements.
