Botswana's main safari destinations are in the north or central part of the country. The town of Maun is the primary entry point for most safari itineraries. From here most of Botswana's safari destinations are easily accessible. Most guests fly into Maun and from there either fly or drive to the reserves.
Botswana is arguably the best safari destination in Southern Africa, if not the whole of Africa. It has vast National Parks, including Moremi National Park, Chobe National Park, Makgadikgadi Pans and the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. These are some of Africa's last great wilderness areas and incredible safari destinations.
The map also shows Kasane, in the north of the country. This is on the border with Zimbabwe and a stone throw from Victoria Falls. A popular itinerary therefore includes the Okavango Delta, Chobe and then Victoria Falls (either the Zambian side or Zibabwe side).
Hover over the name of the reserve on the right of the map and its location on the map will be highlighted.
