Bluebay Beach Resort is situated on the most beautiful 25 acre site with its bedroom cottages located on rising ground overlooking verdant gardens, the public areas, the pool, the more than 1,000 beautiful palm trees, the sparkling white beach and the azure sea.

Accommodation

Created in separate bungalows with stunning views over the tropical gardens to the azure Indian Ocean beyond, the rooms have been developed using local design techniques and makuti (palm thatch) which blends naturally into the landscape.  The Zanzibar experience is carried through to the tastefully decorated interiors wit traditional four poster beds and billowing mosquito nets.  Modern conveniences expected of a luxury resort include satellite TV, mini bars, split level air-conditioning and hair dryers in the bathrooms all as standard.

Facilities

The Makuti Restaurant is renowned for lavish breakfasts with an array of tropical fruit, fresh juices and a wide variety of other fare,  Exotic seafood delicacies or light snacks can be enjoyed for lunch at the a la carte beach bar restaurant in an informal toes in the sand environment.  Dinner comprises sumptuous seafood buffets in the restaurant and spice island BBQ'S around the flood-lit swimming pool.

Bluebay Beach Resort has Zanzibar's largest fresh water pool with separate Jacuzzi and children's pool.  The Resort also has a conference room for up to 80 people with a business centre and internet link for those who need to stay in touch.

For the more indulgent Bluebay offer the ultimate leisure activities in their on-site spa.  The wooden deck, the thatch roof built with palm trees growing up through it, the splashing water and the abundance of beautiful exotic plants makes the Spa the ultimate place to completely rejuvenate your body.  Trained therapists use natural freshly prepared treatments that are famous for their virtues for the body and aromas to relax the mind.
 

Activities

For the energetic, a flood lit tennis court and air-conditioned fitness centre are available with canoes and windsurfing easily arranged.  Those looking for adventure can explore the magnificent unspoilt coral reefs around Zanzibar from a 5 star PADI dive centre.  For more relaxed pastimes, table tennis, snooker or pool and a variety of board games are available.

There are many places of natural , architectural and cultural interest to visit in Zanzibar.  Arrangements can be made for guided tours to the famous and historical Stone Town, the Spice Plantations, the Jozani Forest Reserve, the home of the rare Kirk's Red Colobus monkey or the dolphins at Kizmkazi.
