Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. We had a FANTASTIC time on safari – can’t wait to go back!! Here’s our feedback from our April safari:

Chapungu Luxury Tented Camp – Thornybush • This small and fairly intimate camp was perfect for a couple wanting to dive into the bush for a few days. Good amount of space around tent – private.

• Great personalised service.

• No phones meant wake up calls were made at the door – this was nice and gentle.

• Excellent guide – informative, interesting and fun. Radio comms were kept very low or ear pieces were used. Very good for ambience.

• Very experienced tracker with amazing eyes.

• Tent was spacious, authentic and comfortable.

• Outdoor bath – magnificent!

• Dinner on the verandah of the tent was beautiful

• Weather – cold mornings, nice days, cool nights. The rain and wind proof ponchos were great for the cooler times in the vehicle.

• Food was incredible – excellent quality, good variety. Special birthday cake made for Sonja.

Exceter River Lodge – Sabi Sands • A bigger camp, very big and luxurious room/villa. Too over the top for us, but beautiful and indulgent nevertheless. • Great gift shop.

• Phones in room meant wake up calls were same as being in hotel – too loud and city-like.

• The guide was informative and enthusiastic but a bit young and irritating at times. • Game viewing was excellent but radio was too loud. Saw leopard every day.

• View from main area overlooking the river is beautiful.

• The room’s private outdoor pool and deck were great. Monkeys on the deck were a treat!

• Dinner in the room not so great.

• Same weather as North but no rain and wind proof ponchos in the vehicle though!

• Food was really very, very good – excellent quality and variety. Song and dance with dinner in the boma was great.

Thank you for all of your hard work, tenacity and patience with us. Your knowledge of the accom and areas really helped us in being able to have the kind of holiday we wanted. Your customer service is excellent and as a result we will be recommending you and Sun Safaris to everyone we know.
