Traversing the Best of Wild Botswana & Vic Falls – Client Feedback

Leroo La Tau Sunset

Traversing the Best of Wild Botswana.

One of Liselle’s clients, Jürgen Wittenburg, enjoyed an incredible safari to Botswana. Encompassing the best of Wild Botswana, it appears Jürgen and company had a thoroughly enjoyable time while indulging the safari splendour of the Moremi, the world-heritage site Okavango Delta and of course, the land of giants – the world-renowned Chobe region. Her guests visited Tau Pan, Leroo La Tau, Camp Okavango, Camp Moremi, Savute Safari Lodge and Batonka Lodge in Victoria Falls.

Here is their feedback:

It was a wonderful trip, and we enjoyed it tremendously!! Degree of friendliness in Botswana was overwhelming. The accommodation and transport (including light air) were very good. Tour guides were brilliant.  We saw masses of animals, with the exception of rhinos, but there was an understandable reason for that.  Some 4000 photos were taken.

Stopover  in Joburg was worth while. Hotel very ok, city tour remarkable, good guide and sightseeing very interesting (Apartheid Museum!). First stop Tau Pan was fantastic,  which was a remote place. It does not seem to be traveller’s first choice, but it was our first and (perhaps) our best experience.

Leroo La Tau: Beautiful accommodation. Camp Okavango: A “Designer Lodge” and it was fantastic. We liked the programme there, particularly the walking safari.  Very good guide there. Moremi: The only real tent experience, but very worth while. Savute – together with Tau Pan – the highlight. Wildlife fantastic, tour guide was the best and there were great game drives.

Victoria Falls: Due to season not that much water in the falls, but still no disappointment. Batonka Lodge: We must have been one of their first people to book that brand new place.  Very friendly, very pleasant, very nice.  Victoria Falls Hotel, an alternative? Perhaps just for high tea.

It was a pity that we left Botswana on 29th September. The 30th was their 50th anniversary of their independence. We missed a great party at Savute. What a pity!!!! But I got my anniversary T shirt!

This was a very good selection of yours, Liselle! So what should we do if we want to come back to that part of the world again? Before leaving Vic Falls, we said next year we’ll do another trip. Perhaps South Africa and Namibia. You must convince us now!!!

Anyway, Botswana was first class, given your selection of places. You did great job, although – at the beginning – I was somewhat curious to ship that much money to a company that I did not know beforehand. But you did it very, very well. And we will recommend Sun Safaris whenever required. You may tell this to your boss! So end next year it very well may be 3 – 4 weeks South Africa and Namibia for us. I am sure that you will come up with something in due time. I hope there is a direct flight to Cape Town from some place in Europe.

Thanks to you and kind regards,

Jürgen Wittenburg
