Pongwe Beach Hotel Activities
Traditional wooden dugout boat is available for guests to explore the deep waters before and beyond the reef. This provides the ideal opportunity to go game fishing for tuna, marlin, and barracuda and king fish. There is also snorkelling at Mnemba Atoll where there are many coral species and marine life to be discovered; and at Kizimkazi, sharks, dolphins and turtles can be found. Scuba diving can be arranged whether it be a day dive or a PADI open water course. Take a trip around the island, or to the historic, bustling, cultural core of Zanzibar, Stone Town. Traveling around the island can be guided in a hired care or guests are welcome to hire a 4×4 jeep, or a motorbike and embark on a self-drive adventure. A preference for the ocean is also an option and guests can go out for a day cruising or combine it with some big game fishing and snorkelling.
