Pumulani Lodge is a luxurious and exclusive beach lodge situated on the secluded shores of Lake Malawi. Pumulani offers a spectacular setting on the untouched western shore of the Nankumba Peninsula. Lake Malawi National Park is a World Heritage Site where hundreds of species of fish, including rare and colourful cichlids, swim in the clear blue waters of Lake Malawi. Pumulani lodge Description


Pumulani lodge consists of ten luxurious and spacious villas spread out along a lush hillside overlooking Lake Malawi. Each villa has a large bedroom, a spacious living area and a private deck. The bathrooms are en-suite with a bathtub, double shower and twin basins. The bedrooms open out onto private decking while the lounge areas have sliding doors that give access to a private deck with stunning lake views. Accommodation at Pumulani consists of 4 villas with twin beds, 4 villas with a king size bed 1 honeymoon chalet with outside shower and 1 family room that sleeps 4 (or 5 with smaller children). The main area offers a restaurant and bar area offering spectacular views of Lake Malawi. Meals are served either on the beach, in the gardens, in the restaurant or on guests' private deck.

Activities at Pumulani Lodge include water sports such as snorkelling, kayaking, waterskiing, diving and fishing. Sunset cruises are offered on a traditional wooden dhow. A 40ft (12-metre) boat that was hand built by Malawian craftsmen; other activities include guided village walks through some of the local villages as well as incredible bird watching. Lake Malawi is the world's most ecologically diverse lake. Its crystal clear waters are home to more than a thousand species of fish, including hundreds of species of colourful cichlids. The southern part of the lake boasts some the best fresh water diving in Africa, with tropical fish swimming undisturbed amongst beautiful volcanic islands. The calm waters are excellent for snorkelling.
